Working in partnership with primary care providers of all sizes, we deliver a comprehensive and contextualised range of apprenticeship standards and diploma courses, all tailored to the primary care sector. 

They are an ideal way for primary care employees and managers to enhance their skills and knowledge and, importantly, help further their career and be ready for the next step. There is an option for everyone, regardless of current levels of experience.

We co-create learning pathways with our clients to include a blend of theoretical and practical learning, all our Skills Coaches are highly experienced with proven industry expertise.

Our programmes, timetables and assessments are realistic, appropriate and practical. Importantly, we don’t make people pore over skills they’ve already developed. This delivers cost-savings for you (as we can allocate any savings from that programme to other learners) and means the individual can actually enjoy their learning, not be bored by it. 

 Exalt-Training is approved and regulated by The Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), Ofsted and is a Main Provider on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP).

Exalt-Training deliver apprenticeships funded through the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) as well as the Apprenticeship Levy.

GP Assistant Practice Manager

APPRENTICESHIP - LEVEL 3

GP Assistant Practice Manager

Incorporating the Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

This is suitable for those already new in role or aspiring into a supervisory or first line management role and who may subsequently, move into a full practice management role. They are expected to have some supervisory/management responsibilities, such as supporting, managing and developing team members, involved in leading projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources. They may also be responsible for delivering operational plans, resolving problems, or building work relationships with colleagues at the same level or above.

GP Practice Manager

Incorporating the Operations Department Manager Level 5 Apprenticeship Standard

This is designed for those already working in an established management role but who would benefit from developing a wider range of management skills. It is suitable for those who are managing teams or projects and are responsible for achieving operational or departmental goals as part of the organisation’s strategy. They may be accountable to a more senior manager or business owners. Other responsibilities may include managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring.

Senior Leader in Primary Care

Incorporating the Senior Leader Level 7 Apprenticeship Standard

This is designed for a leader who has senior management responsibility. Senior Leaders are key where there is a workforce to lead, manage and support. The broad purpose of this role is to provide clear, inclusive and strategic leadership and direction, which contributes to the execution and achievement of the strategic objectives set by the organisation.

Medical Administrator / GP Assistant

Incorporating the Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

This is designed for a leader who has senior management responsibility. Senior Leaders are key where there is a workforce to lead, manage and support. The broad purpose of this role is to provide clear, inclusive and strategic leadership and direction, which contributes to the execution and achievement of the strategic objectives set by the organisation.

Medical Receptionist

Incorporating the Customer Service Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

To support the demand for a multi-disciplinary, professional workforce which is able to meet the burgeoning demands of primary care, non-clinical roles are being developed and extended. This course offers the opportunity for customer service practitioners (receptionists, administrators, care navigators) to develop their business and customer insight knowledge and skills and work towards a recognised formal qualification.

GP Healthcare Support Worker

Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard

The role of the Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) has become increasingly highlighted within primary care. In addition, a range of national drivers has resulted in an increase in the number of HCSWs employed in healthcare. The apprenticeship focuses on the core practical skills and underpinning knowledge and theory to gain competence, under clinical supervision, to be a healthcare practitioner in a GP Practice/PCN.

GP Senior Healthcare Support Worker

Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

As models of care within the NHS evolve to provide a multi-disciplinary, flexible workforce in health and social care, the role of the Senior Healthcare Support Worker (SHCSW) has become increasingly important in delivering upon the national drivers of improved care and working closely with the Nurse Teams.
