    Level 2

    The adult care worker role is a key element of adult care and support provision. Adult care workers work directly with users of services in a range of care and support settings including day care, residential care, dementia services, learning disabilities services and also in individuals’ own homes.

    Responsibilities include: Daily care for individuals in a care or residential home setting, Supporting individuals to live at home, assisting with washing and dressing, handling information including care planning, promoting health and safety, practicing infection, prevention and control, assist in the administration of medication, individuals undergoing healthcare activities, Supporting individuals in therapy sessions, recording and reporting on individuals

    Job Roles:

    Key roles include: adult care workers, support workers and key workers in a range of adult care or integrated care settings; and healthcare support workers and healthcare assistants in a range of healthcare settings.
