Board of Governors

Exalt-Training’s Board of Governors play a key role in providing strategic direction and managing the administration of the company. Meetings are held quarterly and are responsible for ensuring we deliver good quality training and education and remain accountable to our stakeholders (customers, ESFA, Ofsted etc.). There are a range of skills and abilities on the Board to maximise our performance, improve governance and create better opportunities for our employer and apprentice partners.

Olga Bottomley, Quality & Safeguarding, Lead Governor

With over 30 years experience working within the work-based learning environment as an educational specialist.  This experience has included managing apprenticeships, traineeships, skills academy and AEB programmes across a vary of subject sector areas, working with multi clients, large levy employers, training provider, colleges and community organisation.

 

Strategic experience includes leading organisations, managing change and implementing KPIs to build and develop success. Current experience includes operating at governance level within organisations delivering government funded training, working as an additional Ofsted inspector for over 10 years and who has placed training companies into “good and outstanding provision” (as defined by Ofsted) by successfully achieving Good or Outstanding inspection results.

 

She has developed new apprenticeships and bespoke training programmes to meet customer needs and increase company sales as well as an SFEDI Assessor working with Princes Trust Business Advisors.

Jennifer Bailey, Financial Lead Governor

Jennifer has worked in finance for private and public sector organisations for over 20 years.  She has held senior level roles in global organisations as well as acting as an advisor and consultant to private and corporate clients.  

Lisa Pearman, Chief Executive Officer, Governor

As an accomplished commercial and operational leader, Lisa is responsible for the strategic lead and management of the company ensuring that budget and contractual performance is met and exceeded.    With extensive leadership and management experience within strategic and operational roles for over 21 years in work-based learning including private training providers, college provision, OLASS and the Ministry of DefenceExperience includes developing multiple and growing delivery teams to ensure that the business deliver outstanding service to both learners and employers.  Her skills include change and project management, quality and funding to drive performance to meet business performance targets including customer satisfaction, achievement and first-time rates, Ofsted standards and ESFA audit requirements.  Lisa holds a Masters in Business Administration

Caroline Sharp, Partnerships Director, Governor

Caroline has worked in senior level strategic roles and as a consultant for global organisations in a leadership and marketing role. She has worked with organisations including Unilever, Heineken, Jeans for Genes, Breast Cancer Care and Bournemouth University, to support and drive strategic growth.  Her skills include project management, stakeholder engagement and communications.
