Government extends cash incentive programme to support businesses to recruit apprentices

The Government has announced an extension to their programme where organisations who recruit new employees and place them on an apprenticeship get a cash incentive.

It’s a simple and effective idea, developed to stimulate the jobs and training market. If an employer recruits an individual and places them on an apprenticeship programme before the end of September 2021, the employer will receive a cash payment of £3000 (in two parts – the first, after 90 days on programme, the second, after 365 days on programme).

The incentive can be claimed for any member of staff at any level and for any apprenticeship programme.

If you are recruiting, we recommend you explore this support available. If you’re an SME or non-levy employer, it will more than cover the cost of your apprenticeship programme.
