The Government has announced an extension to their programme where organisations who recruit new employees and place them on an apprenticeship get a cash incentive.
It’s a simple and effective idea, developed to stimulate the jobs and training market. If an employer recruits an individual and places them on an apprenticeship programme before the end of March 2021, the employer will receive a cash payment (in two parts)
Amounts vary depending on the age of the incentive, with the higher value payable for younger employers.
For apprentices aged 16 to 24, employers will receive £2,000. For apprentices aged 25 and over, employers will receive £1,500
The incentive can be claimed for any member of staff at any level and for any apprenticeship programme.
If you are recruiting, we recommend you explore this support available. If you’re an SME or non-levy employer, it will more than cover the cost of your apprenticeship programme.
